the Latest on Ella {9 months}

Ella's 9 month Well Baby visit
height - 27 inches tall (35%)
weight - 16 pounds (10%)
Last month Ella had her 9 month check up where she got a vaccine and finger prick and she didn't even cry!! Poor girl is still anemic so I have to be better about giving her more iron. Her last kidney infection was about two months ago so I'm hoping there will be no more of those.
Ella is 10 months old today! Where has the time gone!? I can't believe she's going to be a year old in two months. I always see her as such a little baby and I'm sure that's because she is so small. I love how petite and dainty she is though.
  • Ella eats like a champ! She loves fruit, veggies, pasta, yogurt, sand, rocks, paper... EVERYTHING! (I call her my little vacuum cleaner because she's always eating whatever Lincoln threw on the floor from his meals).
  • She is still wearing size 3-6 month clothing and size 1 shoes. (she's TEN months old! lol)
  • I have her in size 4 diapers now only because Lincoln wore size 5's and she was in 2/3's so I decided to meet in the middle so that I only had to buy one size of diapers from now on. Ha ha!
  • She has 4 teeth (two on bottom and two on top with a little gap just like her brother.
  • She's been standing for a while now and for long periods of time. She cruises all the time, climbs up the stairs, and she even took THREE steps on her own twice!!
  • She plays well with her brother (they are so cute together! I love it!) and I think it's cute seeing them fight. She pulls Lincoln's hair all the time (unintentional, I'm sure) and he's always taking toy's ways from her but she'll scream back at him!
  • She is such a loud talker and always coming up with new sounds (she growls, screeches, makes funny founds with her tongue and hand...)
  • We're still nursing but she's self weaning sooner than I had hoped. Lincoln self weaned around 15/16 months, so I was expecting to nurse her for about 18 months, but it's looking like it'll be closer to a year. We'll see...
  • She likes bath time, the beach, cuddling with mommy, eating, being in the sling... Ella is so laid back, she seems to like everything.
I am so grateful to have little Ella in my life. I love her so much, life just won't be the same without her. She brings so much happiness into our lives, I love every second I spend with her. She is already such a "girly girl" but a tough one since she's got her brother to keep up with. She's got such a silly, sweet, mellow, happy personality, I couldn't ask for a more perfect daughter. (Oh, and she's got such a gorgeous smile!)
I Love you, Ella!!

(I'm warning you...)

My Little Terrors {2nd edition}

I just finished cleaning up the whole living room and as I'm cleaning the kitchen there was silence... this was going on!

"that's enough crying na-na."

I took out the trash and when I came back to put in a new bag this is what I found in there.

I was fixing breakfast and stepped out to get my crying Ella... Lincoln managed to find away to reach the counter tops.

"I just wanted one sprinkle."

"where did my play mat go?"

throwing out all of the toys isn't enough...

and he recruited some help

I don't even know how he  got into this mess.

she started screaming for me because she got stuck

at least he'll be warm for his nap

I found a surprise in water

and she found a way to climb up the table.

she's pinning Lincoln down and trying to steal his cup.

he knows how to use mascara...

A Little R & R

Chris and I wanted to take full advantage of out trip to California so we planned a little getaway for us to spend a couple of days in San Diego, kid free!! We left early Thursday morning to Seaworld where we had reservations to "Dine with Shamu." I have to say that was my favorite part of Seaworld. We got to sit right up with the killer whales while we ate breakfast. It was like our own personal show. Then we met up with our friends Tom and Anna. (We originally met them in Virginia while Chris and Tom where in TBS and we became great friends fast. They got stationed in San Diego so it was so nice seeing them again!)
Dining with Shamu! The food was amazing too!

They did tricks for us and the whales would splash the people outside watching haha

Ready to get soaked

ha ha I snuck a picture of the sceen

in a bear cave

this show was awesome

here are our friends Tom and Anna and baby Tony

After our fun at Seaworld, we drove down to the beach and took a nice little nap on the sand. Now that we got some rest, it was time for some more fun. We went down to the Gaslamp District and enjoyed a nice dinner together. We just talked and laughed for hours. Then we said our goodbyes to Tom and Anna once again. (I hope so badly that we get stationed in San Diego with them) and headed to our hotel around 10 pm. Right after we checked in we went straight to the hot tub...and we had it all to ourselves! We stayed at the Hilton in La Jolla right across from the beach. You could literally see the ocean from our balcony, it was beautiful. That was the longest, most fun filled day I have had in a long time. I can't even tell you how liberating it was not having to pack snacks, diapers, toys, stroller, sling, and every other little thing for the kids. There where no melt downs or nap times cutting into our fun. It was just me and my boyfriend (that's what it felt like) enjoying each other's company.

WE SLEPT IN!!! Anyone with kids knows how much of a privilege it is to get to sleep in, and sleep through the night... and it felt amazing! We took a little dip in the pool then headed out to watch Snow White and the Huntsman. But first, we had to make a pit stop to In-N-Out. I had such a great time with my love, just the two of us again.

I was getting anxious to see my little babies, so we finally started heading back home. Gosh, I love those kids, even though they drive me crazy! Ha ha.

(Thanks Mommy for watching my kiddos!!)
