TBS Grad

that morning was...

Chris is finally done with TBS! I am so proud of him. His MOS is Ground Intelligence and he couldn't be happier. Ground Intel is one of the few MOS' that requires more training than most. First Chris needs to complete IOC (Infantry Officer's Course) which is here in Quantico and it's about 3 months long. Then it's off to Virginia Beach for GIOC and  Sniper Platoon training which is another 4 months or so. Fortunately. it's all pretty local so the kids and I don't need to move just for training and then again for our duty station. Speaking of duty station, we still don't know where we'll end up... can you believe that! That has been one of the hardest things for me is not knowing where we're living next. Supposedly we'll find out a month after he starts IOC. I am still hoping and praying to get stationed in Pendleton, California. Not only because it's gorgeous out there, but because our family is in California and I really want my kids to grow up with their family near by. Just trying to take one day at a time.

CBU Alumni!

Chris graduated from CBU today! He got his bachelors Degree in Political Science. I am so proud of him! He has been working so hard and definitely deserves this. He worked during the day full time and went to night school full time, all while being a full time husband and dad.  I love Chris so much. He is such a hard working man, and so determined and dedicated. I admire and respect him so much. He is the greatest example to my son(s). He is a return missionary, worthy priesthood holder, married in the temple, university graduate, protector/defender of our country, and a wonderful husband and dad. I know he did this for me and Lincoln (and our future kids). I appreciate everything he's done and continues to do for us. I couldn't ask for a better husband and father for my children.

After his ceremony, a few of us went out to celebrate at his favorite restaurant, El Torito. There, we gave him an awesome graduation gift, a TomTom 350 XL! He was not expecting anything so it was a fun surprise.

Here's the opposite view
Andi is now 18 and graduated from high school. It's so crazy to think that my baby sister is all grown up. We went to go see her grad ceremony then went out to dinner at the Market Broiler. (one of her favorite restaurants) She was going to go to school out in Seattle, but she changed her mind and is going to stay local for a while.
