We're half way done with TBS!! Next month we will find out what Chris' MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) will be and where we will be sent for that and then where we'll be stationed. Of course with the military you never know where you'll end up, but we still put in a request on where we'd like to live. Our top three choices are: 1- back home in good 'ol California, 2- Okinawa, Japan, 3- Hawaii... we'll hopefully know in one month!
So about Chris' training... it's been an intense 3 months for him and it's progressively getting busier and harder. (He says it feels like he's been at TBS much longer than 3 months!) He usually gets up between 4 and 6 am and goes to the gym before work then gets home anywhere between 6 and 9 pm. Yes, that means I'm pretty much a single mom to a hyper toddler and needy baby. (I'll rant about that in a second...) Anyway, so on top of him working all day, he usually always has some studying and writing orders to do. He rarely has any free time, but when he does, he's great about making sure he spends quality time with me and the kids. It really is a balancing act! And having kids definitely makes things much harder. I'm so proud of Chris and how well he's been doing. He was one of the few who qualified expert in both riffle and pistol! Hoorah!

Emma! You are truly AMAZING! I hope you know that. I read this blog, and admire you so much. I so wish I was there to help you. I know the feeling of two babies.
My Chris is expert at for his "gun" 249... he somehow score 24 out of 18! :o) Good luck with getting what you "request" Once he finds out what his MOS will be that will then determine what places are open for that MOS. There may not be an MOS needed for any of those places. I never thought this CA girl would LOVE Oklahoma. I miss my family and my old job a TON!! But... you make the best/worst out of the place you are sent to. We have NO target within 50 miles of us or a regular grocery store but I honestly couldn't be happier.
